PRACTICE PATIENT ACCOUNTS / BILLING REPRESENTATIVE

The Practice Patient Account Rep is responsible for coordinating billing activities at the practice.

Responsibilities:

Charging capturing, reconciling , and charging entry

Assisting front desk staff with verification of insurance coverage, and retrieval of referrals and authorizations

Ensures that waivers are signed if there is no referral, or if provider is non-par; handles incoming insurance correspondence and acts as practice liaison to central business office and / or third party vendor

Provide front desk support as needed which includes answering phones, scheduling appointments, check-in and check-out

Requirements:

Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Knowledge of medical terminology

Excellent interpersonal skills and effective written and oral communication skills to enhance population specific service, team collaboration and analytical problem solving

Must be flexible, able to multitask and work in a stressful environment

1 + years administrative / billing experience required that includes the application of general operational medical office practices, accounting / budgeting principles and coordination of billing / administrative functions
