The Clinical Nurse I, II, III, & IV provide direct nursing care to patients guided by the SFH Professional Nursing Practice Model in compliance with policies and procedures. The clinical nurse directs nursing care by utilizing the nursing process and critical thinking skills while demonstrating a commitment for compassionate and quality patient care. The CN assumes responsibility and accountability for assigning and delegating patient care appropriately to other members of the Interdisciplinary Health Care Team.
Commplete an accredited Nursing Program. As of February 2010, a Baccalaureate in Nursing is required from an accredited college or university.Meets annual contact hour requirements as determined by the Professional Development Program. Currently licensed as a Professional Registered Nurse in NY State.
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree in Nursing, Masters degree preferred, with a current NYS RN License, a current BLS certification with the American Heart Association and 1-2 years of oncology and chemotherapy experience. MUST BE OCN CERTIFIED The position requires excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills with a strong focus on clinical and patient satisfaction.The successful candidate will be expected to perform effectively in stressful situations, use effective communication skills and have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions while acting as a leader in healthcare.
