Service Mechanic

Facility: Maryhaven Location: Port Jefferson Station, NY Department: Service Center -Training Category: Service and Trade Schedule: Full Time Shift: Day shift Hours: Monday through Friday 7:30am - 4pm ReqNum: 1200

MaryhJob Summary:

To assist in the daily operations of the transportation service program. Responsible for maintaining and overhauling all owned automotive equipment for agency vehicles including diesel, Class B buses with air brakes, Class C buses and the agency's gas vehicles. Provides on-road service as needed for agency vehicles.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Maintain valid CDL B with air brake NYS driver's license.
Must have own tools and secure tool box
Must have 5 years of experience in vehicle general maintenance.
Airbrake and diesel repair knowledge preferred and will train.
Must be able to break down Class B large buses and repair air brakes preferred and will train.
Take and maintain NYS inspection machine license following hire is preferred.
