Nursing Assistant

Facility: St Charles Hospital Location: Port Jefferson, NY Department: 3 W Rehab Category: Direct Care / Aides Schedule: Per Diem Shift: Day and Evening shifts- Hours: 7a-730p ReqNum: 6009207 The Nursing Assistant functions under the supervision of the licensed Registered Nurse and provides basic nursing care to ensure the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of our patients. The Nursing Assistant must be able to recognize, obtain, document, and report data to appropriate staff. A High School Diploma or G.E.D is required for this position. Previous CNA experience preferred. Current BLS certification is required, as well as satisfactory completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Training Course. In lieu of CNA certification, applicants who have recently completed one year of a formal RN program or have previous nursing assistant experience will be considered.
