St. Charles Rehabilitation is the leading rehabilitation center on Long Island, consisting of an acute rehabilitation hospital in Port Jefferson, New York and eight distinguished outpatient rehabilitation network locations across Nassau and Suffolk Counties. At St. Charles, 76 hospital beds are dedicated to acute rehabilitation, more than any other hospital on Long Island. St. Charles hosts the only Inpatient Pediatric Traumatic Brain Injury Unit in both Nassau and Suffolk County. Our acute rehabilitation programs are accredited by CARF--the global leader in rehabilitation accreditation--and custom designed to help patients reclaim their lives following an amputation, brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, neurological incident or diagnosis, total joint replacement, or accident resulting in major physical trauma. Through eight outpatient network locations strategically located across Long Island, St. Charles provides a comprehensive continuum of care to adults and children close to home. Outpatient rehabilitation programs at St. Charles are accredited by CARF--the global leader in rehabilitation accreditation--and include premier physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language therapy, as well as a host of more specialized rehabilitation services for adults, teens and children. St. Charles Hospital & Rehabilitation Center is searching for a Board Certified Physiatrist with Pediatric Rehabilitation Fellowship training. Board Certification/Eligibility in pediatrics, or extensive pediatric rehabilitation experience is required. The candidate will have an interest in teaching and mentoring residents. He/She will have superior interpersonal skills, an academic focus, and the desire to fulfill the mission of the organization to provide excellence in care, education, and advocacy.
