Licensed Practical Nurse

Position Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse is assigned duties and responsibilities related to patient care in a team-based care and integrative health environment. The LPN functions under the supervision and delegation authority of the licensed provider and/or Registered Nurse, while performing clinical and other supporting patient care tasks. This individual also functions as a role model with supervision over medical assistant staff. The LPN must demonstrate competency in all skills related to the performance of patient care and demonstrate effective communication and problem solving skills. The LPN assists in the design and oversight of efficient patient flow and upholds an environment of patient safety and satisfaction.

Requirements:

Diploma from an accredited LPN program
Current NYS LPN license
BCLS training and current certification required from: American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, verbally and in writing. Knowledgeable within the scope of practice of an LPN Skilled in the use of office equipment, electronic health records, confident phlebotomy skills
Minimum of two years experience as LPN in a physician practice, ambulatory environment, or related experience required
