Perform assigned accounting functions, complete assigned reports and provide accurate and timely information for review by the System Director of Revenue. Responsible for assisting in the annual operating revenue budget preparation, monthly revenue proof analysis, financial analysis and cost report. Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, organizational skills and possess the ability to multi-task.
1.Prepare monthly AR balance sheet account reconciliation.
2.Prepare accounts receivable monthly journal entries.
3.Prepare revenue analysis for monthly financial statements.
4.Analyze and report on actual to budget revenue variances and general ledger accounts including supporting schedules for interim, monthly and year end close.
5.Run financial and patient detail, summary, SQLs and statistical reports to assist in revenue analysis.
6.Calculate, analyze and report on actual to budget case mix.
7.Assist in the preparation of the annual revenue budget.
8.Review monthly trial balance of general ledger and perform account analysis.
9.Assist in the completion of interim and year-end audit.
10.Able to communicate with and obtain information from various departments.
11.Prepares surveys for internal and external sources as needed.
12.Develop monthly rate for estimation of unrecorded allowances.
13.Assists patient account department with rates and remittance variances.
14.Assists in the preparation of the cost reports as needed.
15.Provides support to the Vice President-Finance & CFO as needed.
16.Assists in special projects as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
Skills & Experience:
- 3-5 years Accounting experience required (healthcare preferred).
- Proficiency with computers. Advanced Excel mandatory, IDEA knowledge preferred.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem solving.
- Position will require overtime for certain periods of the year.
