The Pharmacy Technician follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures regarding the preparation and storage of inpatient and outpatient medication prescribed by members of the Medical and Dental Staff.

Responsibilities:

Assists pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications

Maintaining drug inventory and patient records

Picks up orders, requisitions and medications for return from patient care areas when on delivery rounds.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Pharmacy Technician certification required.

Experience in an acute care facility Pharmacy department strongly preferred
