DUTIES: Duties involving inventory control. Ensures that adequate levels of supplies exist by placing just in time orders. Prior to implementation of Clinical Information System, maintains a rolling inventory of supplies and equipment by checking invoices, purchase orders, packing slips against receipt of inventory. Ensures that all orders are re-confirmed with a written purchase order and/or electronic data. Ordering and managing suppies and equipment for the operating room. Must have experience using the Lawson computer system. Must have computer skills and pleasant telephone manners. Must have the ability to multitask. Strong organizational skills required. Training in Medical terminology required. QUALIFICATIONS: BS in health related field, Masters Preferred. Recent experience in a Peri Operative setting including scheduling procedures, equipment management and physician relations. Three to five years OR experience. Two years in a leadership role.
