DUTIES: The Coordinator of Volunteer Engagement and Education will strategically manage daily operation of the Volunteers at both the St. Catherine and St. Charles Entities, and will lead the design, development, implementation, and measurement of outcomes of all Volunteer Services.  She/he will work to develop and implement a community engagement strategy with community partners, volunteers, business, government, faith-based organization, and donors to engage them in meaningful roles that make a measureable difference in the quality of life of these communities. She/he will represent Volunteer Services in the community and will implement on-going communications about the mission, work, and opportunities for service with both campuses. Additionally, the Director will design, and implement educational/career exploration programs in collaboration with local high schools. Develop curriculum or content for classes, workshops and other education material. Works collaboratively with clinical, administrative, and philanthropic stakeholders to improve services related to volunteers, pet/music therapy, and community donors.  QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's Degree in related field preferred. Requires 5+ years of managerial experience and understanding of Nonprofit organizational infrastructure, including institutional leadership, patient family councils, patient and student experiences, as well as operational goals of development and philanthropy.  Experience in hiring, supervising and coaching others.  SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Strategic planning: development and implementing strategies for volunteer engagement. Identifying and achieving measures of success; ability to assemble and analyze data and reach reliable conclusions in an evidence/outcome-based manner. Strong organizational and project planning skills. Comfortable interacting with diverse groups (age, income level, gender, ethnicity). Strong leadership skills including ability to influence other, managing volunteer groups effectively including advisory boards and councils, recruiting, managing and growing talented staff, fostering collaboration and building partnerships across divisions with leadership and administration, excellent  presentation skills and superior written and verbal communication skills required. Knowledge and skills in social media and web-based communication--familiarity with administrative and database tracking systems. Willingness and ability to work nights/weekend to attend events or travel as needed. Capacity to be self-directed while working as a member of a larger team.
