Cardiovascular Technician

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited Radiological, Cardiovascular and/or Respiratory care program. RCVT or equivalent preferred, registry eligible acceptable. Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively. Responsible for setting up the patient for cardiac catheterization and monitoring the patient during the procedure. They may perform in the scrub, assisting the physician during the exam, and monitor positions. They are also responsible for entering patient information into the GEMNET and MACLAB computer systems.

BLS/AED/ACLS training required and accepted from only 2 organizations:

American Heart Association - BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program. American Red Cross - CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
