The Chef's Assistant is responsible for the production of high quality foods, soups, salads, meats, vegetables and desserts for patients, visitor's, and staff using safe food handling processes and procedures.
High School Diploma
Basic knowledge of food preparation and knife skills.
Must be flexible and able to work in stressful environment
One year food service experience
Associate's degree in Culinary Arts preferred
Food Handler's Certificate approved by Suffolk County Department of Health preferred
