The Clerk I is responsible for a variety of clerical duties in accordance with established hospital and departmental policy and state and federal laws.
Assembling records following established guideline
Responding to requests for medical information
Processing incoming and outgoing mail
Ensuring that all chart requests are processed as requested
Working cooperatively with medical staff and other healthcare professionals in obtaining documentation to complete medical records and performs other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent
Excellent communications skills required
Typing 30 wpm preferred, Alpha Numeric-5000 Keystrokes per hour required. A computer/typing test will be administered to all applicants.
