Medical Technologist

Responsible for performing a variety of clinical tests; perform various biochemical, microscopic, blood bank and/or bacteriological tests to obtain data for use in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited school required. Certification by internship and examination from the A.S.C.P. as a registered Medical Technologist required within 3 months from date of hire. Licensed under the NYS Dept of Education as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist required. Knowledge of hematology, chemistry, blood ban, and/or microbiology required. Hospital experience desired. Must work weekends and holidays as scheduled. One year internship at an accredited hospital or one year practical experience required. Good oral and written communication skills essential.
