Ensure compliance to standards of care and practice
Be responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of nursing care services related to the care of the Oncology patient served in the infusion center
Maintain the operational aspects of the unit by participating in budget preparation and monitoring resources
Manages nursing personnel including hiring, coaching and counseling, managing annual performance evaluations and competency reviews, and aiding in orientation/mentoring
Attend required management meetings and participate on departmental committees
Demonstrate clinical expertise in the delivery of biotherapy/chemotherapy agents
Serve as a clinical and technical resource and role model for nursing personnel, physicians, and other departments
What you'll bring:
Extensive experience as a Registered Nurse in Oncology
Demonstrated competence in leadership; prior supervisory experience preferred
Strong computer skills (MS Office);Strong leadership, time management, and verbal and written communication skills required Education: BSNrequired;MS preferred or actively enrolled in a master's program
Licensure: Current NYS RN license
Certification: BLS, ONS & Biotherapy/Chemotherapy Certification Required
