The Radiology/ CT Technologist is responsible for interpreting doctors# orders; immobilize, instruct#and position patients. Responsibilities: ######## Administer non-injectable contrast material ######## Sets up and operate stationary and mobile x-ray equipment ######## Develops and review radiographs for quality and perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: ######## High School diploma or equivalent ######## Graduate of AMA approved radiology school# ######## Must be licensed in N.Y. State and be ARRT and CPR certified ######## 3-5 years# experience as a staff technologist# ######## Knowledge of multi-discipline areas ######## Must be experienced in radiological techniques, patient positioning, radiation protection, fluoroscopic and intravenous examinations, tomography and special examinations ######## Must obtain a minimum of 24 Category A continuing education credits every 2 years ######## Excellent communication skills required. ######## BLS or CPR/AED training required and accepted from only American Heart Association or American Red Cross# ######## No online programs from any organization will be accepted. # At Catholic Health Services of Long Island your well-being comes first, with comprehensive compensation and benefits; our offerings go beyond the basics.
