Radiology/CT Technologist

Responsible for interpreting doctors orders; immobilize, instruct and position patients; administer non-injectable contrast material; set up and operate stationary and mobile x-ray equipment; develop and review radiographs for quality and perform other duties as assigned.

High School diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of AMA approved radiology school required. Must be licensed in N.Y. State and be ARRT and CPR certified. 3-5 years experience as a staff technologist. Knowledge of multi-discipline areas required. Must be experienced in radiological techniques, patient positioning, radiation protection, fluoroscopic and intravenous examinations, tomography and special examinations. Must obtain a minimum of 24 Category A continuing education credits every 2 years. Excellent communication skills required.

BLS or CPR/AED training required and accepted from only 2 organizations:

1. American Heart Association - BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program

2. American Red Cross - CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer

No online programs from any organization will be accepted.
