Research Coordinator

Responsible for facilitating and improving patient care by translating research findings into practice innovations at the bedside; conducting research, analyzing data, solving clinical problems and writing grants; enhance quality of patient care delivery processes that are based on the philosophy of nursing, the mission of GSH, regulatory standards, evidence based practice and interprofessional teamwork.

Doctorate required. Prior clinical research experience required within an acute care setting. Strong observation and analytical skills required. Must be detail oriented. Experience in grant writing helpful. Evidence of excellent interpersonal relationships, communication skills, skills as a leader and facilitator for process improvement and redesign teams required. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups and multiple disciplines required. Must have a strong commitment to professional and managerial accountability. Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legal statutes and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to the NYS Nursing Practice Act, The Joint Commission, NYSDOH (New York State Department of Health) 405 Code and CMS( Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) regulations.
