Technology Specialist-Cardiac Cath Lab

Technology Specialist-Cardiac Cath Lab will provide intraprocedural technical support and assistance to physicians for intravascular imaging and physiology evaluations during diagnostic angiograms and interventional PCI in Cardiac Cath department.

Responsibilities include:

Provide analytical data related to intravascular imaging and physiology evaluations during diagnostic angiograms and interventional PCI.

Maintain database and storage of data (servers) related to procedures using intravascular imaging and physiology.

Act as a liaison to the physician's, technologists and staff in the department for research projects by analysis of images, data and maintenance of project related databases.

Support special projects and live case transmission.

Maintain competency on all computer software specific to the department- identifies, troubleshoots and resolves technical/functional issues pertaining to computer software.

Act as a scientific/statistical liaison between technologists, doctors, and the staff.

Work on special projects as identified bythe Director of the Research Department

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Graduate of an accredited Radiological, Cardiovascular and/or Respiratory care program

BLS/AED/ACLS training required and accepted from only 2 organizations

Either New York State license in Radiologic Technology/Respiratory or Cardiovascular preferred

Proficient in Word, Excel, Hemodynamic monitoring and data analysis

Worked in Cardiology department a minimum 3 years preferred
