Volunteer Services Manager

Volunteer Services manager oversees volunteers and volunteer activities in compliance with hospital policies and regulations.Engage and manage office volunteers, files, data base, schedules, retention, guests, phones and specially requested orientations.Create volunteer positions in conjunction with hospital needs. Liaison to Guild leadership and members on items including events, projects, vendor sales, junior volunteers and NY State Nassau-Suffolk HANYS organizations.Mange the operations of the Thrift Shop and Gift Shop with Guild leadership, Director of Public Affairs and Marketing and committees.Participate in meetings and Public Affairs/Community Health events both internal and external.Recruit volunteers for participation in events and coordinate publicity, flyers, social media, photos, etc., on behalf of the Guilds.Other special projects as assigned.

Education: Bachelor's Degree required

Skills: Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and Database; must be flexible and able to manage people of diverse skills and personalities.

Experience:Candidate must possess experience managing group of individuals and show a track record of success in managing projects.
