Job Details

 

Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Record and maintain proper food temperatures.
  • Measure and mix ingredients following standardized recipes.
  • Meet demands of meal schedules.
  • Requisition supplies and food items required for the following day according to menu.
  • Prepare, cater and serve special functions in the facility.
  • Keep all equipment and utensils in sanitary condition, good working order and use properly.
  • Check refrigerators for proper food storage including labeling and dating all food items.
  • Report any broken or damaged equipment to Supervisor or Food Service Director.
  • Keep area and equipment in good order to meet sanitary code.
  • May be required to close kitchen at end of shift in absence of P.M. Supervisor.
  • Report to Food Service Director any missing menu items.
  • Expand standardized recipes as needed.
  • Complete form for handling of potentially hazardous foods.
  • Knowledge of safe food handling techniques required by the DOH.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Consistently utilize safety procedures.
  • Recognize and report potential hazards in the work area.
  • Use personal protective equipment appropriately to prevent chemical/infectious exposure.  Use proper equipment and procedures to prevent accidents.
  • Identify safe handling techniques for the unpredictable resident/patient.  Promptly report potential violent situations and/or incidences.


Salary Range

USD $27.00 - USD $32.00 /Hr.



The pay for this position ranges from $27.00 - $32.00 per hour/per year.

 

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
